In the mid-1980's Peter conceived the first retractable bow sprit system with his friend Jay Cross. The innovation enabled the use and development of asymmetric spinnakers, and launched the sport boat revolution. The retractable bow sprit was the key innovation behind the success of the Melges 24, J80, J105 and other classes. |
