La Grande-Motte France

Commissioning of 6803 continued over the weekend, and we welcomed the owners for their first sail with some particularly satisfying news – the final weighing of SEA TILT came in just below the design weight! For Gunboat this is further validation of the consistency of our build and quality control process, with three out of three Gunboat 68s completed precisely on-weight.

The owners experienced a private sail in a light 10 knot breeze, together with Gunboat commissioning team, Rigging Projects, and North Sails professionals on board. Stay tuned for a good armchair-sailing session to be filmed later in August.

The big reveal. Rolling open the doors to push 6803 out into the world, after 18 months of dedication to her build, there's an exciting energy while working together in these final stages.

Admiring the details. From functional to aesthetic to the unique ways that owners customize their boats. This is the first opportunity to step back and take it all in.

The last pieces of the puzzle. Becoming a sailboat with the installation of daggerboards, rudders, mast and rigging.

Countless vital details, one result.
