The Freedom to Go. Announcing an excellent opportunity to purchase a turnkey Gunboat 66, one of the original Gunboat catamaran designs that stands the test of time as an iconic head-turner and the ultimate racer-cruiser.

Sailing machine and performance cruiser’s dream. Sail faster than wind speeds with ease and stability – the result of precise engineering and state-of-the-art equipment. GAIA features a Southern Spars rotating wing mast and both interior helm & aft exterior tiller steering stations with push button mainsheet controls at each. The fastest Gunboat 66, with state-of-the-art C foils and an extensive sail plan, ensures perfect sailing in a large crossover of wind conditions and all points of sail. At the heart of Gunboat, performance also stands for seaworthiness – to sail at more than 20-knots in comfort and style while enjoying all the lifestyle features of the cruising catamaran. The interior is modern and spacious, bright and airy, and beautifully finished with ultra-lightweight mahogany veneer furniture and bamboo floors.

Life in the Fast Lane. Whether your plans include island hopping, global cruising or taking line honors at regattas, Gunboat 66 Gaia will get you there in speed, comfort and style. Owning a Gunboat is more than owning a yacht – it’s choosing a lifestyle.

Launched in 2015, Gunboat 6607 GAIA leveraged the best of the fleet before her and the vision of an expert owner and project manager team. GAIA features a fully integrated hybrid system, C foils, T rudders, a Southern Spars rotating wing spar, aft beam traveler, retractable propeller drives, tiller steering for racing and push button mainsheet controls at all steering stations.

State-of-the-art Morrelli & Melvin foils, a powerful sail plan with masthead screecher that sheets to the forward cockpit for light air upwind performance, and a full inventory of downwind furling sails deliver exceptional sailing in a large crossover of wind conditions – capable of over 30 knot sailing speeds!

At the same time GAIA comes equally loaded with cruising amenities and upgrades. The hybrid system enables silent operation and the ability to run 30,000 BTU of air-conditioning overnight without the noise of a generator. And a refresh in 2021 incorporated a number of amenities including a new oversized daybed, Sunbrella cushions and chairs in the aft cockpit.

From cruising in the islands to challenging any boat in the growing multihull racing scene, GAIA presents in turnkey condition, ready to deliver the full spectrum of sailing dreams!

GAIA presents in immaculate condition from the combination of care under highly qualified captains and a light schedule of use. In the first years following launch, the boat was kept in perfect condition ready for occasional racing by a professional crew. Now under her second owner, GAIA delivers the ultimate coastal cruising and island-hopping lifestyle for family, friends and charter guests in New England and the Caribbean. Recent upgrades facilitate shorthanded sailing and emphasize the luxuries, comforts and amenities – with no compromise on the platform’s enviable performance.

Hull #7 of the series, Gunboat 66 GAIA incorporates the experience of her predecessors plus a thorough treatment of upgrades: Hull and internal structures by Gunboat in South Africa were finished as a meticulous custom build completed by Westerly in California, to the rigorous standards and strict requirements of the project manager and owner.

Sail the world with family and friends.

At the heart of catamaran living is the expansive salon and aft cockpit area with a 360 degree view.

As much about spaciousness as it is about proximity. The open plan living area features a large dinette, U-shaped galley, and additional settee area with coffee table. The interior nav station and helm keeps mission control within arms reach, two steps away from the forward working cockpit and the built-in Miele coffee system. Even with the aft tiller options, GAIA retains the classic Gunboat 66 forward helm design for all of the advantages and enjoyment it brings, to sail safely and in close proximity with each other on long passages, night watch, and during inclement weather.
