Gunboat 60 ARETHUSA

Launched in 2015, ARETHUSA has been exceptionally maintained by professional crew and has benefited from significant upgrades including a refit in 2020 – creating an extremely improved, reliable and beautiful global mile-eater, presented in better-than-new condition. Turnkey ready for her new owners she is an exceptional example of a Gunboat 60 set for worldwide cruising, regattas and whatever your dream sailing plans may be.

Refit completed August 2020: The conversion from centerboards to daggerboards yields a marked improvement in performance and reliability. Daggerboard cases were integrated beautifully through the hulls, enhancing the two amidship cabin layouts with king beds (formerly queen) and additional drawer storage.

ARETHUSA is ready to take you wherever you may want to go.

The Odyssey of Arethusa: The Making of a Mega Cat

March 2017
by Tom Darling
When one dreams of a dream boat, what might that be? In 1900, it would have been a Herreshoff-designed colossus intended for the America’s Cup. In 1936, Mike Vanderbilt had Starling Burgess design him the last of the great J Boats of that decade – Ranger. In the 2010s, ultimate yachts have a new look: multiple hulls. When (the owners) thought “new boat,” they saw what I call a “mega cat” – a fully-featured, carbon constructed, high performance offshore cruising speedster called Arethusa.
