The first two Gunboat 68s are off on sailing adventures while 6803 & 6804 move right along with these most recent build milestones.
All in a day’s work.
Gunboat 6803: The hull and deck were rolled outside the factory, and the deck was picked up from the frame and prepped to be dry fitted on top of the hull.
Putting a lid on it.
Gunboat 6803: The combined deck-and-coach-roof were dry fitted on top of the hull. Over the coming days the Gunboat team will work on fine-tune trimming for a perfect hull-deck fit.
Another one hatches!
Gunboat 6804: Major structural bulkheads were installed over the past couple of weeks, then we were ready to demold the boat.
On the up and up.
Gunboat 6804: The fourth Gunboat 68 came out of the molds with impeccable quality, and we’re more efficient with each build.
Show’s over! Back to work.
Gunboats 6803 and 6804 rolling back into the factory for next steps.
6803 progresses to deck bonding. Then the carpenters bond in the major furniture components before we progress to the paint shed/shop.
6804 continues with structural fit-out, including major bulkheads and daggerboard trunks, which will be followed by the installation of tanks and systems.
