TRIBE Bahamas 2020 Edition:

Sharing a glimpe of Paradise & Updates on Ports of Entry

March 26, 2020

While many of us around the world are "cruising along with a storm sail" or "resting at anchor", some of the lucky ones are still sailing at >20kts under spinnaker. Gunboat 62 TRIBE recently enjoyed a couple of blissful weeks of remote cruising in the Bahamas.

For TRIBE, cruising the Bahamas has become an annual event and the photos they share are always jawdropping. This year though, in order to return home, they were faced with reassessing plans and ensuring they complied with special COVID-19 procedures coming into effect at the port of entry.

If you are in transit here are a couple of resources suggested by Gunboat captains to help determine ports of entry and quarantines upon arrival.

We want to wish all sailors that are en route during this pandemic a safe journey navigating unexpected quarantines. Cruising has always required a propensity to be flexible and take it as it comes. Here's hoping there are mostly moments of paradise-as-usual as these instances of self-isolation take shape.

Stay safe and take care of each other!
